Silicon carbide(SIC) is mainly made of quartz sand and petroleum coke as the raw material under high temperature electric resistance furnace smelting. Its hardness is between fused alumina and diamond and mechanical strength higher than that of corundum, it’s sharp and crisp which has electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. With the production of abrasive,which is suitable for processing low tensile strength of metal and nonmetal materials. Such as grey cast iron, non-ferrous metal, stone, leather, rubber, etc. It is also widely used in refractory, metallurgical additives, mainly used for refractory materials. Product manufacturing, foam ceramic industry, solar silicon cutting, crystal cutting, grinding, original car engine manufacturing, coating industry, plastics modification, desulfurization, power supply, environmental protection industry, etc.

Abrasives
It is mainly used for grinding wheel, abrasive paper, abrasive belt, abrasive, grinding, grinding head, grinding paste and monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic products and electronic industry of piezoelectric crystal aspects such as grinding, polishing, etc.


Chemical Industry

It can be used as the steelmaking deoxidizer and cast iron modifier, can be used as raw material of manufacture of silicon tetrachloride, which is the main raw material of silicone industry.Silicon carbide deoxidizer is a new kind of compound deoxidizer, which replaced the traditional solid silicon powder carbon powder. Compared with the original process,it’s various physical and chemical performance is more stable, deoxidization effect is better, deoxidize shorter time, save energy and improve the efficiency of steel. Non-ferrous metal
As silicon carbide has high temperature resistance, strength, good thermal performance, impact resistant and high temperature for indirect heating materials. Such as strong retort furnace, tray distillation furnace, aluminium electrolyzer, copper melting furnace lining, furnace zinc powder with arc plate and the thermocouple protection tube, etc.


Steel Industry
Using these good characteristics of silicon carbide corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance to wear and thermal conductivity, improves the service life for large blast furnace lining.


Metallurgical
Silicon carbide hardness is second only to diamond with strong wear resistance. It’s ideal material of wear-resisting pipe, the impeller, pump room, cyclone and pipe lined. It’s wear resistance is 5 -- 20 times the service life of cast iron and rubber, and def aviation flight track is one of the ideal material.


Vitrified Grinding Wheel Industry
Using the characteristics of the coefficient of thermal conductivity, thermal radiation, high strength, it can produce sheet kiln furniture. It not only can reduce the capacity of kiln furniture, also improve the loading capacity of the kiln and the product quality, shorten the production cycle, which is the indirect materials of the ideal of ceramic glaze baking sintering .
