Product Characteristics of Sand Blasting Glass Beads

  • Both soft and hard - it is made of high-quality materials, that is, it has certain mechanical strength, SiO2 content greater than or equal to 68%, hardness up to 6-7 Mohs, and sufficient elasticity. It can be used repeatedly for several times and is not easy to break. The sprayed devices have the same effect, and the service life is more than 3 times longer than that of ordinary glass beads.
  • Good uniformity - the rounding rate is greater than or equal to 80%, and the particle size is uniform. After spraying, the brightness coefficient of the sandblasting device remains uniform, and it is not easy to leave watermark.
  • Irreplaceable - as an abrasive material, shot peened glass beads (sandblasted glass beads) have the following advantages over any other abrasive material: in addition to metal abrasive materials, they are used for a longer time than any other medium. They are made of non alkaline soda lime glass materials, have good chemical stability, will not pollute the processed metal, can accelerate the cleaning and maintain the processing accuracy of the original object at the same time.
  • Smooth without impurities - spherical particles without impurities; The surface is smooth, with good finish, reaching the international and domestic standard level.

Main Classification of Shot Peening

Shot blasting is divided into shot blasting and sand blasting. The surface treatment with shot peening has great striking force and obvious cleaning effect. However, the treatment of thin plate workpiece by shot peening is easy to deform the workpiece, and the steel shot strikes the workpiece surface (whether shot blasting or shot peening) to deform the metal substrate. Because Fe3O4 and Fe2O3 are not plastic, they are stripped after crushing, and the oil film is deformed together with the substrate, so shot blasting and shot peening cannot completely remove the oil stain on the workpiece with oil stain. In the existing workpiece surface treatment methods, the better cleaning effect is sand blasting.

Sandblasted glass beads are suitable for cleaning the surface of workpieces with high requirements. However, at present, the general sand blasting equipment in China is mostly composed of original heavy sand conveying machinery such as hinged dragon, scraper and bucket elevator. Users need to build a deep pit and make a waterproof layer to install machinery. The construction cost is high, the maintenance workload and maintenance cost are huge, and a large amount of silicon dust generated in the sand blasting process cannot be removed, which seriously affects the health of operators and pollutes the environment.
